We realized that each and everytime we sit back to unwind on a busy day and decided to pick on classic soul music as our genre of the day, it never fails to inspire us. It’s always the lyrics, always the arrangement; it’s always the passion but most of it all, it is always refreshing. No matter how many times you come back to it. Maybe it’s just us, we are nostalgic like that. Call us old-fashioned, call us ancient but to us old is gold.
With “Songs From the Soul 3″, I hope to share memories from way back then. The classics have never failed to move my spirit in good times and bad times. It has taught me everything I need to know about love; how you treat a woman, how to love her right, what to do during courtship, what heartbreak feels like. I hope Songs From The Soul 3 will touch you and bring the memories the way it has for me. Spread the Love!
This is a selection of music I grew up with. I enjoyed this music before the CD-player was invented and even before the word Walkman was introduced. When I listen to these songs I experience the peaceful vibes from my young years again. There was no music channel on TV yet. All we had was “AVRO’s Top Pop” on a weekly base. This is the music I grew up with in the late 70ies until the early 80ies, just before I discovered “The Soul Show” on the Radio.
I want to bring you back to the soul music sound of the sixties and seventies. And there are a few artists from the early eighties which I want to include. I just need to reach out, and spread it all over the world because these timeless songs are too big to keep for myself.
Old school jams from the early 70ies inspired a lot of great artists. Many Neosoul tracks has the same simular sound and vibe. It’s funny that the original sound doesn’t seem so old, but it’s at least 30 years old.
